Verizon has officially begun rolling out the first software update for the recently launched Moto Z DROID and Z Force DROID which presumably includes bug fixes, stability enhancements, and other minor tweaks.
As you can see in the screenshots above, we received the update on our review unit of the Moto Z DROID. The update brings build number MCL24.246-36. Interestingly, reports of this update haven’t started surfacing until today, while we received the new software two days ago. Of course, Verizon hasn’t shared much information about this update yet other than that users will receive the July security patch, so the update may just be rolling out a bit too early.
We’ll update this post when we receive the official release notes about this update from Verizon.
