Even though most of you are anxiously waiting for Android Nougat to hit your device, some of you have been waiting for last year’s update to arrive even longer. And if you own a Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, you’re in luck.
AT&T has announced that Android Marshmallow is now rolling out to the Galaxy S5 Active which brings the device’s software version to 6.0.1. Build number MMB29M accompanies the software, while 900MB is around the size of the update package. In addition, the security patch level included in the update is August 1st.
To install Marshmallow on your S5 Active, head over to Settings > System > About device and check for updates. This will download and install the update onto your device. Be sure to have at least 80% battery left and are on a good, stable Wi-Fi network so your data isn’t all gobbled up.
