Remember the old saying, “Anyone can marry their phone in Vegas”? Oh wait, that’s not a real saying? Well it should be. Let me explain…
A man by the name of Aaron Chervenak recently held a marriage ceremony at The Little Las Vegas Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada where he and his iPhone were literally married. By sliding a ring mounted to the back of the device via one of Apple’s “famous” battery cases onto his finger, Chervenak became united with his smartphone like no one has before.
The owner of The Little Vegas Chapel had a few words to say about the “couple”.
Apparently, Chervenak drove all the way from Los Angeles to marry his iPhone. I guess there was nowhere else you could go to do such a thing except Vegas, right? “We don’t really have many people that marry inanimate objects,” said Kelly, but he did care to defend the newly weds. “People are so connected to their phones and they live with them all the time. They’re with them 24 hours a day. They go to sleep with their cell phone. They wake up with their cell phone, sometimes it’s the first thing that they check.”
Sounds like marriage to me.
Obviously, this “marriage” isn’t recognized as legal by the sate of Nevada, however The Little Las Vegas Chapel still acknowledges it as true. I kind of find it ridiculous (because it is), but I guess it’s alright.
You can watch the full ceremony between one of Apple’s hottest products and Chervenak here.
