Apple has officially opened registration for this year’s Apple Camp sessions. This learning experience is intended for kids ages 8 – 12 to teach them the basics in coding, robotics, moviemaking, or storytelling. It’s totally free to sign up and is available at participating Apple retail stores in the United States, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the UK.

Apple Camp will spark the imagination of kids 8 to 12. During this three-session experience at a local Apple Store, kids can choose to explore coding and robotics, moviemaking, or storytelling.

Campers can work with visual blocks and solve puzzles while programming Sphero robots. They can learn filmmaking skills: storyboarding, shooting video, and editing soundtracks. Or they can create interactive books complete with their own illustrations and sound effects. At Apple Camp, kids and their creativity are the heroes.

It’s unclear just when the workshops will begin as it depends on the store’s current schedule, however expect the first sessions to be conducted around the beginning to middle of July and last until some time in August.

Each session is around 90 minutes long and can be reserved on Apple’s Youth Programs webpage. You must register soon if you want a seat at the workshop table as availability is very limited no matter where you go.
