The New ZenBook is Even Thinner and Packs More Heat Than the MacBook

ASUS today unveiled their new ZenBook 3 laptop which measures in at 11.9-mm thin, a measurement thinner than Apple’s current thinnest offering the MacBook which is 13.1-mm thin. The company is calling the new computer “the world’s most prestigious laptop.”

The display on the latest ZenBook measures in at 12.5 inches and features a 1920×1080 HD resolution, covered in Corning Gorilla Glass. Up to an Intel Core i7 can be loaded into this guy which can be paired alongside up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB or 1TB of SSD flash storage. A USB-C port for charging is present, however is the only port besides a 3.5mm headphone jack. A full size keyboard is also built into the latest ZenBook alongside a glass covered trackpad and fingerprint sensor for interaction with Windows Hello in Windows 10.

The battery inside the ZenBook 3, according to ASUS, lasts up to 9 hours on a single full charge, while fast charging technology will give you 60% of juice in as little as 49 minutes.

You may think that this laptop is fanless, and while it’s not, it does include an ultra-thin cooling system featuring “the world’s thinnest fan design at just 3mm.” This will bring necessary cooling to the ZenBook and make your experience that much better while still maintaining it’s very slim and low profile form factor.

Royal Blue, Quartz Grey, and Rose Gold are the three colors you’ll be able to pick your ZenBook 3 up in, while a configuration of an Intel Core i7 processor and 512GB of SSD storage will run you $1,499 and 1TB of space will cost $1,999.

We’ll let you know if we get any new information on this computer.
