iOS 9.3.2 Being Pulled From 9.7-inch iPad Pro Due to “Error 56”

Apple has now pulled iOS 9.3.2, their latest update for iDevices which came out not too long ago, from reaching 9.7-inch iPad Pros after it was discovered by many users that the new software was bricking their devices. A statement sent to iMore explains that the company is indeed looking into this issue and that they’ve received multiple reports worth looking into.

We’re looking into a small number of reports that some iPad units are receiving an error when updating the software. Those unable to restore their device through iTunes should contact Apple support.

It’s unclear at this time whether Apple will be re-releasing iOS 9.3.2 for the 9.7-inch iPad Pro or if they simply release an update (iOS 9.3.3?) for all iOS devices to take advantage of. Whichever way they decided to go about this, we’ll have full coverage here at MBEDDED.

This type of incident has happened before with Apple’s iOS updates. iPad 2 models were beginning to become bricked after updating to iOS 9.3, something that was met with much frustration as well.
