Last night, Jimmy Kimmel had Republican Presidential candidate Ted Cruz on his late night talk show “Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!” where the host asked the White House-hopeful about current oppressing matters such as Donald Trump’s recent comments about… everything. However, it’s never just serious conversation with any comedian with their own TV show, so obviously Kimmel asked Cruz if he’s ever seen Star Wars with Cruz proudly responding “Yeah, all of them”. But when Kimmel asked about the last movie which came out in December 2015 called The Force Awakens, Cruz admitted he cried during it when one scene in particular came on that he described as “traumatic”…
Cruz stated that this particular scene featured Han Solo who he happens to be a big fan of.
As someone who grew up — I mean, I stood in line for two hours to watch ‘Empire Strikes Back, Han Solo was my hero. I’m not gonna spoil it for you, but I’ll just say that there’s an image in that movie that was traumatic at a level I never wanted to see.
Now look, I’m probably one of the only technology reporters that hasn’t seen the latest Star Wars movie, so I don’t know what happens to Hans Solo. Oh, and if you wanna tell me, don’t post it in the comments for fear of others who haven’t seen the film knowing one of the spoilers against their will. You can, however, DM me on Twitter. People have stated that Cruz is different after seeing this movie. Remember when he used to be friends with Trump? Yeah, that’s different now. Just listen to this quote from the above video:
Donald is a unique individual. I was watching the early part of the show, and if I were in my car and getting ready to reverse and saw Donald in the backup camera, I’m not confident which pedal I’d push.
It’s truly amazing how one movie can change a human being. Especially a Star Wars movie…
