According to the Chinese social networking site Weibo, a pair of postings suggest that the new iPhone will feature a water and dust-proof design and a new casing material, meaning that this will be the last time we see a basically-all-aluminum body on an iPhone unless Apple decides to copy it’s latest smartphone. The new material is unknown at this point, but rumors suggest Apple has already built the first prototype of the new smartphone.
One other element found in the posts worth mentioning is a “completely flat” LCD panel. What that means is unknown at this point, but it’s worth noting.
We suggest taking these rumors with a grain of salt, due to the announcement and release of Apple’s next flagship is a full year away and things could take several turns during that time. As a matter of fact, they will.
